Dominique Sanda, international film star who began as a model, was discovered by [Robert] Bresson for Une femme douce, and made her name with Bernado Bertolucci’s The Conformist, quickly followed by Vittorio De Sica’s The Garden of the Finzi-Continis. Recent projects were Steppenwolf, India Song, and Novecento for Bertolucci. She told Vogue, ‘Between the cinema and me it was, instantly, love.’ She has a son, Ian. Here in Saint Laurent’s suit à la Russe.
